from 'the ariral blog!':

le café reviewz!

An over-designed school project made from bare HTML, CSS, and Javascript.

I check out cafés (yes, I am spelling cafés the French way), sip a lot of coffee, spend a lot of money, and maybe share what's worth your time. Not a big fan of coffee myself, can't stand the taste of a raw espresso, but cafés are more than just the caffée they sell, did you know that Issac Newton used to share his science ideas with others in coffee shops? I'm pretty sure there'd be a thousand Issac Newtons if Starbucks didn't switch to boring paper cups. I wonder how nice and cozy a Starbucks would be if they used ceramic cups instead, and serve them on the cute little plates with a mini-spoon to stir with.

Digression aside, whether you're looking for some cozy cafés to maybe hang out in, find some new brews to... er... brew, or maybe just watch a hot-chocolate-person review coffee shops — you’ll probably find it all here, one entry at a time.

Making a custom border out of a Windows XP spritesheet, getting the wallpaper stuck on the background, and making rainbow effect on the text was the best fun I've ever had in years.

Up next: Long unordered list to test out the background image's scroll immunity.
